This SMS Terms and Consent Notice explains how Yvette Lopez Law, PLLC uses text messaging and what users agree to when they opt in to receive text messages from the Firm.

1. Program Description

Text messages may be used to communicate about consultation requests, scheduling, reminders, case-related updates, document follow-up, requested information, and, where separately authorized, marketing or promotional communications.

2. Consent to Receive Messages

By providing a mobile phone number and opting in where required, the user agrees to receive recurring or non-recurring SMS or MMS messages from Yvette Lopez Law PLLC at the number provided.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing legal services.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on the nature of the inquiry, legal matter, appointment activity, and user interaction with the Firm.

4. Charges

Message and data rates may apply according to the user’s wireless carrier plan.

5. Opt-Out Instructions

A user may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.

After a STOP request, a final confirmation message may be sent confirming that the opt-out request has been processed.

7. Carrier Limitations

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed, undelivered, or misdirected messages.

8. Privacy and Data Use

Information collected in connection with the Firm’s text messaging program is subject to the Firm’s Privacy Policy.

Mobile information and text messaging consent data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

The Firm may use third-party service providers, including secure communication and case- management platforms such as MyCase and Twilio, to assist with message delivery, platform hosting, storage, routing, analytics, or other operational support reasonably necessary to administer the program.

Text messaging is not a fully secure method of communication. Although the Firm uses service providers that implement security and privacy safeguards, SMS and MMS messages may be transmitted through third-party carrier and technology networks outside the Firm’s direct control. Users should not transmit highly sensitive or confidential information by text unless the Firm specifically requests or authorizes that method for a particular purpose.

9. Eligibility

Users must provide a valid mobile number and be authorized to consent to receive messages at that number.

10. Changes to SMS Terms

The Firm may revise these SMS Terms and Consent provisions from time to time by posting an updated version on the website.
